Synastry

The branch of astrology that looks at relationships between individuals is called synastry. For me this is the most fascinating area to study and often the most surprising. It is usually between two people who share the closest bonds of love or affection that exists the most "testing" of mutual aspects. Thus one is likely to discover a wealth of karmic relationships within one's circle of family and close friends.
The ties that we form in life are in various ways beneficial to both parties. I have never yet found it to be a one-way street.

Louix Dor Dempriey (Sri Prananda) in his book 'Dawn of Enlightenment' gives us a divine definition of relationships. "Relationship is defined as the process by which we ongoingly draw to ourselves ones with whom we engage in order to see - outside of self - some reflection of the many aspects of our authentic and/or inauthentic selves, from which we can continue to grow, learn, and become more exquisite demonstrations of our true God-selves."

A synastry analysis can indicate the depth, nature and often duration of a relationship. It can highlight those particular areas where each can help or hinder the other and, even in the case of the latter, these can be regarded as ultimately beneficial for the whole person.
All too often it is not until we have lost a person or come close to losing them that we can truly appreciate the significance they have had in our lives. Personally I would far rather have some kind of deeper understanding of a relationship while I am still able to exercise some positive input, rather than wait until we pass out of each other's orbit.

This is my favourite area of astrology: not only does it present a huge challenge inasmuch as people are learning and growing in awareness constantly, but I love looking at the dynamics between individuals and families. Since I believe that everyone enters our life for a purpose, I enjoy doing a 'Sherlock Holmes' to uncover that deeper purpose.

After I receive the birth details of both individuals, I draw up each chart separately, then look at the relationship. As in the case of birth charts, you would then be provided with a detailed printed copy of the analysis and conclusions. All charts are beautifully presented in a folder and include a copy of each person's natal chart plus a copy of the composite chart.
Synastry can be particularly helpful for studying parent/child and other family relationships as well as business partnerships. It can be invaluable when embarking on a romantic or marital relationship.
